Interim vouchers closing soon

Tuesday, 01 March 2022

Applications for interim vouchers via the Scottish Government’s Reaching 100% (R100) Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) are being accepted until 31 March 2022. We anticipate that demand will be high, so we strongly encourage everyone to apply as soon as possible.

If your home or business broadband speed is less than 30 Megabits per second and your superfast broadband roll-out is planned from 2022 onwards, a £400 interim voucher may be available to help meet the capital costs of a temporary solution.

You can apply for a single voucher (individual) or aggregate vouchers as a group (community). Check the status of your address in our online postcode checker.

If you’re eligible for an interim voucher, your chosen supplier will apply for an R100 broadband voucher on your behalf and will give you an estimated installation date for your new connection, which should be within 28 days of you confirming your voucher.

Dependant on availability, there could be different technology solutions to choose from – fixed wireless, full-fibre, mobile or satellite. Over 60 suppliers are now registered to this scheme. Visit our R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme page to find out which suppliers provide broadband services in your local area.

Many people across Scotland are now benefitting from the R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme. Since its launch in September 2020, 2,611 vouchers (839 interim vouchers) have been issued so far, with another 48 (16 interim vouchers) currently going through the application process*.

While applications for an interim voucher must be received by 31 March 2022, applications for main vouchers will continue to be accepted after this date. More information on the R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme is available on our website.
